About MCG

Management Consultancy Group W.L.L (MCG) was established in Bahrain in 1979 to provide education and training across a broad spectrum of business disciplines. We were the first private institute recognised and licensed by the Government of Bahrain to provide IT training. Since that time we have been at the forefront of the development of programmes and courses leading to internationally recognised professional and academic qualifications.

As a successful business, we have changed in line with market trends, enlarging the scope of our operations when necessary, initially within the Middle East and then worldwide. Good market research, in depth knowledge of the business scene and educational needs, flexibility and quality of service are the hallmarks of our success and reputation. Our dedication to the vision of developing people for the changing business demands within a global environment led to the enlargement of the organisation in the areas of management consultancy, human resource management, information technology, e-commerce, distance learning and the provision of on-line education and qualifications.

MCG was one of the first overseas organisations to be audited and commended by the UK’s Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency for support services provided to Sheffield Hallam University in respect of their portfolio of MBA programmes by distance learning. This success was swiftly followed by MCG being appointed as the first representative of the prestigious University of London - Royal Holloway, for similar services in connection with their distance learning MBA in International Management.  The University extended their contract with MCG to include over 90 Undergraduate and Postgraduate Distance Learning and online web based degrees offered through what was then known as the University of London External Programme. 

Close links have also been forged with other international institutions. We have worked with the Industrial Society (UK) throughout the Middle East region, Far East and Australia, and were the first approved NVQ assessment centre in the region for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) also being their first International Centre authorised to provide the AAT Scheme through distance learning. We have facilitated access to many executive and corporate programmes including the Chartered Institute of Management Accounting (CIMA), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), and the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). The movement to support online and distance education was actively pursued providing global access to the web based NCC Education Diploma courses leading to the BSc (Hons) in Computing and MSc in Strategic Business Information Technology awarded by the University of Portsmouth UK.

Results across this broad spectrum of programmes are impressive with a global student community in excess of 15,000 being educated, trained and guided to achieve their potential.

We are recognised for our excellence in IT consultancy services to medium and large businesses in the Middle East through the provision of software maintenance, turnkey system solutions and process re-engineering projects. We are committed to the provision of high quality, cost effective and timely services and IT solutions through the medium of ERP consultancy, workflow management, systems integration and web technology. In the field of Internet and e-commerce based business initiatives and web based systems, the Group is able, through our global associates, to provide these services using technology as the key enabler.

In the areas of human resource management the Group has led the field in providing education, training and development programmes. We are recognised for the provision of high quality services to individuals and businesses. The Group has worked with national and international businesses in process re-engineering, strategy, organisation change, leadership and negotiating skills to equip individual staff and organisations for the constantly changing needs of commerce and industry; privatisation, liberalisation, competition and globalisation.
